Wear the right footwear
Yes, prevention is still better than cure. So before you even experience anything stressful or bad when it comes to your feet, make sure you're taking proper care of your feet. And wearing the right type of footwear is one of the best ways to do that.
We all have horror stories of aching feet because we wore a cute pair of shoes that didn't actually fit our feet well. But it doesn't have to be a this-or-that situation. You can definitely have the best of both worlds. Go for a pair that has a style that speaks to you but make sure it's made just right for your feet, especially for those who have ones that are wide or stubby.
Massage your feet
With all the stress you go through, it's not only your mind that suffers but also your feet. We use them everyday to take us places, but we sometimes tend to forget to give them some tender love and care. So after a hectic day at work, give yourself a bit of a massage. To start, coat your palms with a balm or lotion. And then use long stroking motions to massage the sole of your feet.
Give yourself an at-home foot spa session. Soak your feet in water with some essential oil to calm the muscles down and bring down any swelling. And then, soften callused skin with a scrub. After all that, moisturise your feet with a cream or a lotion. You can even wear a sock to ensure that the moisture's locked in.
